Spoken Cree Level 1

Spoken Cree Level 1, by C. Douglas Ellis, is a complete Cree language course based on the "N" and "L" dialects spoken west of James Bay, Ontario. Cree is the most widely spoken of all the Aboriginal languages in Canada. This newly-revised edition was published by the University of Alberta Press in 2000. It teaches Cree language by focusing on typical day-to-day situations. Each of the units includes basic conversation, a discussion of Cree grammar, pronunciation drills, conversation practice, a vocabulary list, and a review section.

The complete collection of sound files to accompany this manual can be downloaded from: www.spokencree.org.
